A Clubhouse is a community of individuals who live with mental illness. We are not clients. We are not patients. We are not broken.

We are Members

What is a Clubhouse?

A Clubhouse is based on the belief that members are all needed, wanted and valued as part of the Clubhouse community. The Clubhouse Director is the leader of this community. All members work alongside staff as colleagues, to keep the Clubhouse running. Everyone in the Clubhouse has equal access to all functions and opportunities. Guided by Clubhouse International, Clubhouses around the globe follow a set of 37 standards designed for best practice in mental health recovery. The Work Ordered Day

Clubhouse members, together with staff, form a community whereby they collectively and collaboratively keep the Clubhouse running, through the Work Ordered Day.  All tasks required to maintain the Clubhouse are performed through work units, by the members as they learn valuable skills to find and maintain employment.  Because members are involved in key areas such as Reception, Reach Out, Fundraising, Culinary, Policy Creation, and Governance, they develop a sense of ownership in the Clubhouse.
